Iran: Iranian judiciary announces several arrests in connection with murder of two judges

Tehran, Iran - January 19, 2025 Iran's Judiciary announced the “identification, summoning and arrest” of several people in connection with the assassination of the country's two Supreme Court judges on Saturday. “According to the order of the Prosecutor General, an investigation team was formed consisting of police and judicial officials and individuals were identified, summoned or arrested in this regard,” Iranian Judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir said in an interview with state television late Saturday. The two Supreme Court judges, Ali Razini and Mohammad Moghiseh, were shot yesterday morning in front of the Tehran Palace of Justice by a gunman who committed suicide immediately after the attack, in which one of the judges' bodyguards was also wounded.
