Superbike bursts into flames while being repaired by mechanics in China
This is the dramatic moment a superbike burst into flames while being repaired by mechanics in China.
Two technicians were fixing a BMW S1000RR when it suddenly combusted inside a workshop in Bozhou, Anhui, on January 13.
CCTV footage shows one of the employees twisting the throttle to power up the engine when it suddenly burst into flames, setting his shirt on fire.
Frantic workers ran out to find an extinguisher, while others prepared a large container of water to douse the flames.
However, the fire extinguisher had already expired and failed to emit the foam needed to put out the blaze.
When they poured water onto the burning bike, the fire spread further as fuel leaked and spewed onto nearby superbikes.
The fire quickly escalated, leaving the workers helpless to contain it. The flames eventually engulfed the room, with other vehicles severely burned and damaged.
Local media reported that no one was injured in the incident.
