The two-year-old kid seemed shy at first as his mum appeared to convince him to perform until the music started in Shaanxi.
Footage shows the youngster naturally swaying his sticks with red ribbons when the East Asian melody is played on a speaker.
He played the war drum by hitting to add beat to the music and swaying the red ribbons attached to its end for added flair.
The toddler played a Chinese war drum called tanggu, a traditional instrument used in ceremonies and other events.
