US, Los Angeles: Oxnard Mass Casualty Shooting Incident

Los Angeles, United States - January 20, 2025 01/20/2025 02:01 am (GMT-0800) OXNARD, Calif. – Oxnard police and city fire departments responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of a strip mall in the 2300 block of North Oxnard Boulevard. When first responders arrived at the scene, they located three patients, and the incident was declared a "Level 1 MCI." At least one victim was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. It is unclear how many victims were shot. No further information was immediately available. NOTE: Per Ventura County EMS public information available online, the definition of a Level 1 MCI is as follows: "a suddenly occurring event that exceeds the capacity of the routine first response assignment. (Approx. 3 - 14 victims)."
