Join a schoolboy and his family as they enjoy an epic ride on the world's longest zip coaster.

Footage shows the youngster sitting on a cushioned seat that hung from a cable above at Escape Penang in Malaysia.

They glided through the forest-covered amusement park on a hill, following the trail of a water slide which also holds the world record for its size.

The relatives screamed and laughed as they sped along the coaster with large trees towering on either side.

Tourist Iqmal Hakim said: 'We tried the longest zip coaster in the world. It was an unforgettable experience. I would do it over and over again.'

The theme park holds the Guinness World Record for longest zip coaster spanning 3,723 ft (1,135m) since 2022. Each 219 ft (67m) high coaster ride will take at least seven minutes to complete.

The island of Penang, a former British Crown Colony, is around 220 miles from the capital Kuala Lumpur.
