Los Angeles, United States - January 21, 2025 01/21/2025 02:29 am (GMT-0800) WHITTIER, Calif. – The CHP Santa Fe Springs Area office is investigating a fatal crash on the southbound 605 Freeway at Whittier Boulevard in the city of Whittier. A pedestrian was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on the southbound 605 Freeway just before Whittier Boulevard. A semi parked on the off-ramp of Whittier Boulevard is possibly one of the vehicles that struck the pedestrian. It is unknown at this time why the pedestrian was on the southbound 605 Freeway. CHP had only the two right lanes open for traffic. A Sig Alert was issued for an unknown duration.
