Flames engulfed homes in hellish scenes from the Palisades Fire in California.

Horrifying footage captures apocalyptic scenes, with glowing orange hues and thick smoke surrounding the area, while sirens echoed on January 18.

Authorities said the blaze has scorched more than 23,713 acres in Los Angeles as of Monday. Cal Fire reported at least 6,051 structures destroyed, with 788 others damaged.

By January 20, the flames were 59 per cent contained. It has claimed at least 10 lives, with three civilians and one firefighter injured.

Evacuations remain for Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Brentwood, and Topanga, with mandatory orders affecting thousands.

Governor Gavin Newsom and local officials have mobilised resources to assist residents.

The California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS), working with local, state, and federal partners, provides food, water, shelter, and healthcare, including help with prescriptions, mental health support, and medical care.
