Fish meets art: Arowana trapped in Sun Wukong statue’s arms
This is the bizarre yet humorous moment that a man’s arowana fish found itself snugly lodged in a statue of the legendary Monkey King.
On January 9, 2025, in Changzhou, Jiangsu, the video captured the arowana fish swam into the crook of a Sun Wukong statue's arm and stayed motionless, appearing almost as an extension of the sculpture itself.
The owner assured viewers that the fish was not harmed but merely resting.
Fortunately, the arowana was safely removed from the statue without any harm, continuing to thrive under its owner’s care.
