Angry husband whacks supermarket manager around head with shovel after wife complains
This is the shocking moment an angry husband whacks a supermarket manager around the head with a shovel after his wife complained about him.
The incident occurred at a Machado Supermarket in Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil, on Saturday, January 18, at around 7:30 pm.
Footage shows the suspect walking up to a shelf with shovels for sale, picking one up, and heading towards the store manager, who is wearing a blue top.
He then strikes the manager on the head with the shovel, immediately knocking him to the ground and seemingly rendering him unconscious for a brief moment.
The attacker is wrestled to the ground and held there until police arrive to arrest him, while the store manager slowly gets back to his feet.
Police reported that the man went to the supermarket after his wife, who works there, had complained about the manager. The exact details of her complaint remain unclear.
In a statement, the supermarket management said: 'We are currently investigating the facts in detail to fully understand the situation and take the necessary measures.
'We reinforce our commitment to the respect, safety and well-being of our employees and customers, values that have always guided our actions.'
The victim reportedly sustained injuries to his head and ear.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
