Compilation footage of skilful Thai reptile handlers taming snakes and lizards
Skilful Thai reptile handlers tamed snakes and lizards during their rescue work.
Footage shows the volunteers carefully and gently holding a large cobra from a home in Phitsanulok.
Another rescuer wearing a helmet held a king cobra by its tail while they were face to face before he grabbed its neck.
A female colleague was also part of the team, who caught a monitor lizard that strayed into the middle of the road.
The rescuers were called to homes in Phitsanulok province, Thailand, to secure the serpents, which they managed to calm down and release later.
Thailand has a diverse population of snakes, with over 200 species recorded. This includes both venomous and non-venomous snakes, ranging in size from small burrowing snakes to large pythons.
This has contributed to the country's development of a strong culture of reptile rescue and handling.
