Seat rage erupted between two passengers on a flight to Taiwan.

The Boeing 777 operated by Eva Air was flying from Bangkok to Taipei when the heated argument began on January 20, around 2 am.

Footage shows how the passenger behind the filmer was angry that the seat in front had been reclined, further reducing their leg space in economy class.

The passenger behind said: 'Why don't you take a look at how small the space is when you squeeze it in, and the person next to you still has to pass through?'

In an attempt to get the front seat upright again, the passenger allegedly ordered a second meal in order to force the person in front to follow airline rules that the chair should be upright during meals.

The anrgy filmer said: 'I didn't put the seat down until she finished her first meal and her plate was taken away. Even if she deliberately ordered a second portion and didn't eat it in order to make me sit upright, I still let her to that.

'The person in front reclined, but I didn't think I could ask them to move forward as it seemed reasonable.

'Similarly, the person at the back felt that the space was too small, and the flight attendant offer for them to move back, but the refused, causing the space to be too small. That was their choice.'

When flight attendants intervened, the passenger behind reportedly became upset and forcefully stowed their tray table.

Passengers can recline their seats on most flights, though the degree of recline varies by airline and aircraft. Some airlines restrict reclining during certain times, such as takeoff or landing, and some have designated 'reclining-free' seats to prevent discomfort for passengers behind.
