Storm Éowyn continues to ravage Ireland this morning as hurricane-force winds leave a devastating trail across the country. The west of Ireland bore the brunt of the storm, with winds reaching over 180 km/h. Videos from Galway show the incredible power of Storm Éowyn as it wreaks havoc.
The storm has set a new record with wind speeds reaching 185 km/h at Mace Head, marking this as a historic weather event. Due to the massive size of the storm, all 5.2 million people in the Republic of Ireland are expected to experience extreme winds in the coming hours.
Stay safe as the storm continues to affect the region.
