Gusts of 91 miles per hour were recorded during Storm Eowyn on the Isle of Man. The Manx Government declared a major incident due the the Department of Infrastructure struggling to cope with the numerous fallen trees blocking the islands roads. All busses were cancelled and schools were closed during the storm. The Westerly winds have had a major impact on the island. However, this footage shows the effects of the storm on Laxey harbour which is on the relatively sheltered East coast.
