US, Los Angeles: Compton Fatal Auto vs Pedestrian
Los Angeles, United States - January 24, 2025 01/24/2025 12:42 am (GMT-0800) COMPTON, Calif. – The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Compton deputies and Los Angeles County firefighters responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision at the intersection of West Rosecrans Avenue and South Aprilia Avenue. When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a gray Volkswagen sedan that had struck a pedestrian at the intersection. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. The California Highway Patrol South Los Angeles Area office is handling the investigation.
