Footage shows Space X Falcon 9 rocket soaring across the Californian sky.

Jeffrey Pioch, 45, was out on an early morning walk in Yorba Lina, California, today (24) at around 6am when he saw the rocket streaking across the sky.

The Falcon 9 rocket which was carrying 23 Starlink satellites lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 6am local time.

The flight today was the 23rd launch and marked the 11th Falcon 9 mission of 2025.

Just 64 minutes after takeoff, the rocket deployed the Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit.

Jeffrey said he was "amazed" when he was "excited" when he realised it was a Space X rocket."

"My New Year's resolution was to go out walking, I looked up and that is when I saw it," Jeffrey said."

"This is exciting, especially with it being Space X."

"They are doing something special in the private market as opposed to doing it with the Government."

"It burns bright in the sky - that is very cool."
