SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): ZHU MIN, Former deputy managing director of the IMF
"Nowadays, we need to find three new growth engines for future development. The first is the domestic market, focusing on consumer markets, particularly service consumption. The second one is the manufacturing sector, which is a cornerstone of our competitiveness. And in the next 20 years, we will make manufacturing cheap, good, and high-tech so that we can maintain our core competitiveness. Then the third one is the green transition. China has made rapid advancements in sectors such as electric vehicles and batteries. This transition aligns closely with the development of China's manufacturing sector. There is still significant potential for further green development."
