A Trump deportation flight carrying illegal immigrants made an emergency landing in Brazil allegedly due to unrest onboard.

Dozens of handcuffed Brazilian passengers arrived on a GlobalX jet at the Eduardo Gomes International Airport in Manaus City, Amazonas state, on January 25 evening.

Video shows ground crew deploying an emergency slide after the Airbus A320 reportedly experienced technical difficulties mid-flight. The passengers were said to have complained of the heat, sparking chaotic scenes onboard and forcing the emergency landing.

The Brazilian government said in a statement there were 88 Brazilian passengers, 16 U.S. security officers, and eight plane crew onboard the flight originally bound for Minas Gerais state.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs slammed the 'unacceptable' and 'degrading' treatment of the deportees following President Donald Trump's crackdown on undocumented migrants.

The statement said: 'The Brazilian government considers it unacceptable that the conditions agreed with the US government are not respected. Brazil agreed to carry out repatriation flights, starting in 2018, to shorten the time these nationals remain in US detention centres, due to irregular immigration and with no possibility of appeal.'

The deportees were later flown on a Brazilian Air Force plane to their original destination, the Justice Ministry said.

The flight was the second to deport Brazilian migrants since Trump took office.

Trump, known for his hardline nationalist and anti-immigrant rhetoric, has promised a sweeping crackdown on undocumented and illegal immigrants in the country.

On his first day of office, he declared a 'national emergency' at the southern border with Mexico.

He has also issued a memo telling the U.S. Agency for International Development to adopt an 'America First' policy, threatening sanctions on staff who refuse to obey.
