Pot Noodle distraction thief steals restaurant worker's phone and credit cards
A restaurant has issued a warning about a man caught stealing a worker's phone and credit cards - after asking for water for his Pot Noodle.
The distraction incident happened on CCTV at The Thai Bar & Restaurant in Glasgow.
Staff said they felt sorry for a man who asked if he could have some hot water for his Pot Noodle.
In the CCTV footage the man can be seen looking for a phone before swiping it and placing it in his pocket.
The restaurant owner explained that the phone stollen had credit cards in it and the thief completed transactions with the cards.
The restaurant owner is now warning other business owners in the area to be vigilant following the theft.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of the theft of a phone at a premises on Kilmarnock Road, Glasgow, around 2.30pm on Saturday, 4 January, 2025."
"Enquiries are ongoing."
