This is the shocking moment a Russian dancer was bitten on the nose by a snake while posing for a photograph.

Footage shows Shhkodalera holding the reptile and preparing for the shoot, bringing it closer to her face while pouting her lips.

However, the large python suddenly struck out at her face.

She screamed in pain and carefully placed the aggressive snake on the ground during the event on January 1.

Despite the terrifying incident, the dancer seemed to view the animal bite positively. She was heard saying 'symbol of the year, blessed' in Russian.

Pythons are nonvenomous constrictors that prey on rodents, birds, lizards, and mammals. They lack venomous fangs and consume their prey whole by swallowing it.
