Hungry locals waded into flooded streets to buy food from a stall in Indonesia.

Footage shows the residents battling through the chest-deep deluge to reach the front of a couple's deep-fried snacks shop in West Kalimantan on January 26.

They bought bread, hotdogs on sticks, and meat pies for easy meals during the bad weather.

The shop owners put the large pans and stoves on tall tables to keep them from getting wet. They said they wanted to continue serving neighbours in need during the flood.

Resident Aming Bangor said: 'They continue to sell snacks even during the floor. It helped a lot of people who needed quick food.'

Several districts in the West Kalimantan region were hit by widespread flooding when the Menyuke River overflowed from heavy rains.

Other parts of Indonesia have been hit with landslides that have buried homes and killed dozens of people.
