Dramatic footage has emerged from China of a 18-year-old returned overseas student driving BMW to drag police officer for 30 metres.

In the video, filmed in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province on Tuesday, a white car without licence plate is driving in wrong direction and then stops on zebra line.

When the police officer comes over and asks for driving licence, BMW driver said he didn't bring it and suddenly launches his car to run red light.

Because the police officer's hand is in the car window, he is dragged for 30 metres.

According to local news, BMW driver just came back from Singapore and he only got his driving licence for two months.
