This is the amusing moment dozens of wild boars enjoyed a bath in a forest in Thailand.

The sounder of feral swine had stopped to take a dip in the pool after foraging in the Si Phang Nga National Park in Phang Nga province, on January 25.

Forest camera footage shows the creatures rolling around in the mud as they soaked in the shared bath.

Park chief Teerapol Chartthai said the water helps the boars remove parasitic insects and regulate their body temperature.

He said: 'The camera traps were installed to give us glimpses of what goes on in the forest. Previously, we have seen other animals like wild elephants, tigers, deer, and tapirs.'

The sprawling Si Phang Nga National Park covers 61 acres of rainforest and rugged mountains in southern Thailand. It was declared a national park in 1988, in honour of King Rama IX's 60th birthday.

The nature reserve houses a stunning natural landscape such as waterfalls and awesome limestone cliffs, as well as rare wildlife like Malayan tapirs, Sumatran serows, bantengs, barking deer, and tigers.
