Gaza Strip - January 27, 2025 Tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have embarked on journeys back to their homes in northern Gaza, after an agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas to release six more hostages. Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement on the release of six Israeli hostages this week and to allow displaced Gaza residents to return from the south to northern areas of the Strip, a spokesperson of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday. These displaced men, women and children walked, carrying their belongings, returning after 15 months of displacement. Many of them lost family members and their homes were destroyed. An estimated one million of the displaced people are moving to the north of Gaza Strip, passing through the Al-Nawari area where they picked their bags leaving the tents and the difficult life in the tents, leaving the hunger and the displacement in the south Gaza Strip. Displaced people walking to the north of the Gaza Strip are covering more than six kilometers to reach their destination. Shotlist: Gaza Strip - Jan 27, 2025: 1.
