A driver veered off his lane and crashed into an oncoming pickup truck when he allegedly fell asleep on the steering wheel.

Dashcam footage shows the white sedan having a head-on collision with the black vehicle in Krabi, southern Thailand, on January 20.

It flipped over, and the front part was wrecked before being thrown onto the roadside.

The pickup truck spun due to impact and was also badly damaged.

Driver Chalit Ngamsap, who was behind the black car, said: 'The white sedan's driver probably fell asleep. He was so fast.

'The road was also bumpy. It has not been completed after being under construction for so many years. It is very dangerous.'

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
