Faversham, United Kingdom - September 23, 2024 A man who deliberately rammed two police vehicles during a pursuit near Faversham has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison. Frazer Higgins, 31, led officers on a dangerous chase on September 23, 2024, after refusing to stop near junction 7 of the M2. Driving a flatbed van unlawfully, he braked suddenly and reversed into a police motorbike, forcing the officer to jump clear. Moments later, he swerved and then reversed into a patrol car, causing significant damage. Higgins later abandoned his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was caught outside a home on Egbert Road. He was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and other offences. Sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on January 22, 2025, Higgins will also face a driving ban upon his release. Police praised the public for assisting the injured officer and commended witnesses who helped secure his conviction.
