This is the amusing moment a cheeky pet dog stole freshly cooked food that was laid out for Chinese New Year celebrations.

A Chinese-Thai family prepared offerings for the festival and set up a table with various dishes at their home in Satun, Thailand, on January 28.

Upon seeing the food on the table, Bluegus, the mischievous Golden Retriever who was freely roaming around the house, suddenly grabbed a piece of boiled pork from the plate.

CCTV footage shows the ravenous canine feasting on the meat.

Moments later, its owner noticed what it was doing and saw the pork on the ground. She then took it and put the meat back on the plate while scolding the dog.

Golden Retrievers can be quite cheeky, and they often exhibit playful and mischievous behaviour. While they are generally friendly and eager to please, their playful nature can sometimes lead to them pushing boundaries and engaging in slightly naughty antics.
