New Zealanders performed the Haka for locals at a festival in the Philippines.

Footage shows the foreigners wearing traditional clothing chanting and stomping their feet in rhythm in Iloilo on January 26.

The men held long sticks that swayed while the women had short wooden paddles during the performance.

The group from New Zealand marched along the street with other indigenous groups on the southeastern coast of the archipelago.

They carried the United Tribes flag of New Zealand, waving it at the foot of their parade.

Resident Kolin said: 'They seemed to have been invited by the local government. They went to visit the office of the mayor afterwards.'

Dinagyang is a religious festival honouring the Holy Child Jesus. It commemorates the arrival of Malay settlers and their conversion to Christianity.
