"I have always been optimistic about China's potential for continued economic growth.
Because during my time in China and the more than fifteen years that I have dealt with Sino-German relations, I have seen what Chinese people are capable of in terms of innovation, hard work, and dedication.
So to me, it does not come as a surprise, and I believe we will see much more of China in the new year and in the coming years and I think that will be good for the world economy.
Good relations with China are in Germany's interest, and good cooperation with China is in the German economy's interest."
