Search continues after plane and US Army helicopter collide in Washington D.C., USA
On January 29, 2025, in Washington D.C., United States, @FollowAbadi shared a video capturing the ongoing search for passengers following a midair collision between a plane and a U.S. Army helicopter. In the footage, boats and helicopters are seen scouring the frigid waters of the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport. The plane, carrying 64 people, crashed after colliding with the helicopter. At least 19 bodies have been recovered so far, and figure skaters from the U.S. and Russia were reportedly among those on board. Authorities have temporarily closed Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport as investigations continue.
