Stampede breaks out during Amrit Snan in Prayagraj, India
On January 29, 2025, in Prayagraj, India, @skphotography68 shared a video capturing the aftermath of a stampede during the Amrit Snan. In the video, an individual is seen being taken inside an ambulance to the hospital as police officers work to control the situation. The stampede occurred at the Sangam Nose area of Maha Kumbh around 1 am during the Mauni Amavasya, as lakhs of devotees rushed to take the holy dip. Several people were injured in the chaos, leading authorities to temporarily halt the second Amrit Snan as a precautionary measure.
