US, Los Angeles: Pomona Second Alarm Commercial Fire
Los Angeles, United States - January 31, 2025 01/31/2025 05:21 am (GMT-0800) POMONA, Calif. – Los Angeles County Fire Department crews and Pomona police officers responded to a fire at a commercial building in the 400 block N. Garey Avenue in the city of Pomona. Once firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a commercial building with heavy smoke and fire from the roof. Firefighters immediately upgraded the fire to a second-alarm fire and requested additional resources to assist with extinguishing the flames. Firefighters were in a defensive mode, fighting the fire from outside along with two ladder trucks. Both east and westbound Holt Avenue were closed at North Harry Avenue. Pomona PD had both north and southbound lanes of Garey Avenue at Holt Avenue closed due to the fire personnel at the scene.
