A couple posed for their wedding pictures as a wildfire burned behind their hotel room in the Philippines.

Footage shows the couple, the bride wearing a deep red long down and her partner donning a grey suit, smiling for the cameras despite worrying about the blaze outside in Tarlac province.

The flames engulfed large patches of land in the hills and spread quickly.

Burning grass and trees fed the blaze, which was seen only 50 metres away from one of the buildings outside the resort venue.

Photographer Phil Diaz said: 'It happened at Goshen Resort. It burned half of the hill. It was still burning when we left.

'It was a little bit uncomfortable with the smoke and flames so near, but it made for an awesome wedding video.'
