An Israeli hostage had an emotional reunion with his family after 482 days in Hamas captivity.

Gadi Moshe Mozes, 80, was released from Gaza following a ceasefire agreement with the terror group.

Dramatic footage shows Mozes hugging his children, tearfully reunited after such a long ordeal on January 30.

He was taken hostage by Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists on October 7, 2023, while reportedly attempting to negotiate with Hamas terrorists who attacked his community.

Mozes was held captive for more than a year, during which his partner, Efrat Katz, tragically died.

He was released as part of phase one of a mediated ceasefire-hostage release deal and was handed over to the Red Cross before being escorted by IDF soldiers into Israel.

Israel has blitzed the Gaza Strip in retaliation for an attack by the governing party Hamas on a Jewish music festival on October 7 last year.

However, the situation - which Israel claims is self-defence - has attracted criticism from around the world.
