STORYLINE:

The Ximen Yingge Team from Shantou, south China's Guangdong Province, performed the traditional Yingge dance in the German cities of Frankfurt and Hanau from January 29 to 31, as part of the Spring Festival celebrations.

The Yingge dance, or "dance to the hero's song," is a form of folk dance popular in the Chaoshan area in Guangdong.

It combines elements of opera, dance, and martial arts, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the area.

"Today we are celebrating the new year, the Chinese New Year with a lot of new friends. We're very happy to be here. I loved it (Yingge dance). I thought it was very beautiful, a lot of different cultures. So I was very much amazed and I heard it's the first time they are here in Germany and abroad from China. So I'm very much impressed."
