Momma White Tail Deer and her less than 1yr old twins

Buy video

I was sitting on the porch making some arrowheads and Native stone tools, and got to looking out in front of me and the most beautiful sight ever. A mother and her two twin Fawns came down near the porch steps the first time. So I had to be extremely still. I had to wait till they got down the mountain somewhat, and and then walk back up to the driveway. As I did that they showed back up not scared just sitting there eating whatever they could find. Our White Oaks have been out for over a month due to the squirrels and so they’ll eat any green grass, and anything that’s edible. They love the fresh green grass that’s just came up after I’ve moved some dirt around. She comes back up here every year and has her babies, and is so comfortable around it up here she’ll walk up on the back deck and keep making circles if she’s having a hard labor. Last year she did because of the twins, and she walked around for two hours until I got out there and laid a bed of straw and towels down and she could stay warm in them and then have the little ones in an area where she was most comfortable.

I’m sorry it’s a short video but I had to wait till they passed by the brick wall and came back out in front. Thanks for watching,
