Philadelphia, United States - February 01, 2025 A medevac plane crashed in a northeast Philadelphia neighborhood on Friday evening, killing seven, including one person in car, said Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker at a press briefing on Saturday. The number of injured victims from the disaster rose to 19, she said. Carrying six people on board, the plane crashed shortly after takeoff, sparking a large fire, according to relevant authorities. The Learjet 55 plane, en route from Philadelphia to Springfield in the mid-western U.S. state of Missouri, had just taken off from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport when the incident happened, said the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in a statement. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Saturday confirmed the death of six Mexicans aboard the crashed plane. "I have asked the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs to support everything required. My solidarity with the loved ones and friends," she said on the social media platform X. Shotlist: Philadelphia, USA - Feb 1, 2025: 1. Plane crash site; Philadelphia, USA - Feb 1, 2025 2.
