This is the terrifying moment a snake slithered into a man's shorts as he relaxed on a hammock.

The local was browsing his phone while comfortably lying on the red hanging bed when a small serpent moved toward him in Songkhla, Thailand, on January 24.

CCTV footage shows the man frantically scrambling to get up when he felt the reptile brush against his groin.

He said: 'I was terrified because I have always been afraid of snakes my while life.

'I think the snake hitched a ride on my father's bike when he returned from the farm.'

Local media reported that the animal was a non-venomous snake and did not harm him during the encounter. It slithered away into the undergrowth and has not been seen again since.'
