Surveillance video shows arsonist setting fire to bar in Cherkessk, Russia
On December 27, 2024, in Cherkessk, Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia, a man wearing a mask entered a 24-hour bar, poured flammable liquid on the bar counter and floor, and set it on fire. A girl inside narrowly escaped the flames, while property worth over 2.5 million rubles was destroyed. Surveillance video captured the suspect pouring the liquid before the fire ignited. Law enforcement, with the assistance of the Russian National Guard, quickly identified and arrested the arsonist, who claimed to have targeted the bar due to hostility towards its owner.
