Earthquake shakes Santa Cruz Michapa El Salvador

A magnitude-6.2 earthquake struck the Pacific Ocean south of La Paz Department, El Salvador, on January 5, 2025, at approximately 11:18 a.m. The epicenter was located 29 km southwest of Playa Costa Del Sol and 68 km south of San Salvador, at a depth of about 49 km. Shaking was reported across much of the country, including Santa Cruz Michapa, where @Puppet1993_ shared a video showing the effects of the tremor.
