A pilot crashed and died during an air show north of Atlanta, Georgia.

In the video from the Newsflare archive, filmed on May 14, 2016, at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in Chamblee at an event called the Good Neighbor Day Air Show, two planes cross paths near to the ground. One of the planes fails to pull back up and hits the ground, breaking up into pieces.

Writes the filmer: "I was there with the family having fun and we were talking about the amount of training the pilots have to go through in order to do the stunts we were seeing. When the accident happened I just became speechless."

The pilot was confirmed dead.

He was named later as Greg Connell, of South Carolina.

I was there with the family having fun and we were talking about the amount of training the pilots have to go thru in order to do the stunts we were seeing. Kind of jokingly I made the comment about the pilots getting confused about what side to take when passing near each other. When the accident happened I just became speechless.
The pilot is confirmed dead.
