A massive fire broke out at a car parts factory in Thailand.

The inferno started on the third floor of the five-storey Carryboy Company building where car parts, paint thinners, and assembled vehicles were stored in Bangkok, on January 31.

Firefighters and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene after receiving a report at 5:08 am.

Footage shows them battling the raging flames seen billowing out of the building windows. The fire was brought under control at 7:28 am with no injuries or casualties reported.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt later arrived for an inspection.

Officials said the second to fourth floors had partially collapsed because of the fire. The cause was under investigation.

Carryboy is a company that specialises in vehicle modifications and is one of the world's largest manufacturers of fibreglass products.

Fires in Thailand are relatively common due to aging electrical infrastructure, extensive use of wood in home construction, and regional heatwaves that can exacerbate fire risks. Rapid fire response can also be hampered in densely packed neighbourhoods where narrow streets can delay firefighting efforts.
