US: Black Ice and Slushy Roads Challenge Drivers in Cottonwood Canyons
United States - February 02, 2025 COTTONWOOD CANYONS, Utah — Treacherous conditions have been reported along SR-210, with black ice forming near White Pine and slushy, snow-covered roads closer to the resorts. While the lower to mid-sections of the road remain dry to wet, the upper stretches are coated with slush and light snow. Drivers are urged to stay alert for running water and falling rocks as temperatures rise. A road grader is actively clearing shoulders down to Snowbird Entry 1 to improve safety. Caution is advised for all travelers in the area.
