Gaza Strip - Recent Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip are facing severe challenges following the Israeli withdrawal, as daily life in Gaza remains constant struggle for basic necessities, with access to safe water being one of the most critical issues. Since Jan 27, tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have begun returning to the Gaza Strip from which they were displaced, under the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. However, these returning families now face a new struggle for survival amid extremely harsh conditions. Each morning, thousands of Gaza residents have to search for drinking water, with family members traveling long distances to secure it. Elderly Palestinian Mohammad Salama, who has recently returned back to his home in Jabalia in the north of Gaza City, carries empty gallon jugs on a daily basis to fill them with drinking water. Gazans who returned to Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip are also facing the same problem. Humanitarian aid workers in the northern Gaza Strip face enormous challenges as they try to provide relief to the people. The war-damaged infrastructure has made it difficult to secure daily necessities, including something as basic as water, for local residents. Shotlist: Gaza Strip - Recent: 1.
