Canadian basketball fans booed the U.S. national anthem as the Trump tariff war began.

Footage shows the crowd erupting into jeers while the Star-Spangled Banner was being sung at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto before the NBA game between the Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday afternoon, February 2.

They voiced their dismay after U.S. President Donald Trump announced 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian imports and 10 per cent on Canadian energy on Saturday.

Outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded by placing tariffs worth 155 billion Canadian dollars (106 billion USD) on American goods entering the country.
