This is the amusing moment excited pet dogs chased each other in the snow in Washington.

Eiko, the seven-year-old German Shepherd, and his companion, Grizzy, the eight-month-old pup, were spotted playing in the snow in their backyard on February 3.

Footage shows Eiko running after his furry friend amid falling snow.

Pet owner Justin Bogdanovitch said: 'I wanted to walk them out, but because of the severe snowfalls, roads and pavements became icy, and it was just dangerous, so I decided to let them play around the back of my house.'

German Shepherds have a double coat that provides insulation and protection from cold weather. This makes them well-suited for playing in the snow without getting too cold.
