This is the heartwarming moment a tiger stranded in a well was rescued with wooden logs.

Kindhearted locals threw a couple of timbers to help the hapless cub float in the water-filled pit in Madhya Pradesh, India, on February 4.

Local media reported that the juvenile feline was chasing a wild boar when both of them fell into the well.

They were reportedly seen swimming in the hole, trying to keep themselves afloat while waiting for rescuers.

Upon seeing what happened, villagers called the Pench Tiger Reserve to retrieve the animals inside.

The team shortly arrived and reportedly removed the animals using ropes.

The tiger and the wild boar did not sustain any serious injuries from the incident.
