On February 4, a passenger dispute over seat adjustment broke out on a high-speed train passing through Nanning, Guangxi.

The incident began when a man in the front row wanted to recline his seat but was refused by the passenger behind him. In response, the front-row passenger took an extreme action — removing his shoes and propping his bare feet against the back of the other passenger’s seat.

The train conductor quickly responded to complaints and arrived at the scene to mediate. Despite the conductor's persuasion, the man remained agitated, claiming he was a "forced retaliator" and explained his side of the story.

The conductor pointed out that, according to the Civil Code and railway passenger transport regulations, passengers must maintain public order and follow safety guidelines, refraining from disrupting transportation operations or infringing on others' rights. The man's actions clearly violated these rules.

Under the conductor's firm request, the man eventually ceased his inappropriate behavior.
