Animal rights protesters clashed with staff at a University of Massachusetts event.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) supporters interrupted the UMass Amherst event at Seagate Golf Club in Delray Beach, Florida, on February 4.

Activists confronted university leadership over controversial animal testing conducted by Agnes Lacreuse.

The demonstration, calling for an end to cruel experiments on marmosets, was met with hostile reactions from attendees, who shouted profanities, destroyed signs, and forcibly removed the protesters.

PETA representatives condemned Lacreuse's experiments, which involve invasive procedures on marmosets to study menopause, a condition the primates do not naturally experience.

The group is calling for an end to the research and the adoption of modern, animal-free alternatives.

PETA, known for its advocacy against animal cruelty, continues to push for stricter enforcement of animal welfare laws and the elimination of animal testing.
