A father made a heartwarming homecoming surprise at his daughter's first birthday party.

Jomarie Rosales Bruce, 27, a caregiver in the UK and the father of baby Clodia, pretended to be a restaurant waiter during the event in Batangas, the Philippines, on October 14.

Footage shows Jomarie documenting his flight from the United Kingdom to the Philippines. Upon his arrival in the country, his cousin, Jay, and Jay's girlfriend, Trisha, picked him up from the airport.

Jomarie then headed to the venue wearing an employee uniform and covered his face with a mask, before giving a gift to his wife Clotle.

Clotle opened the gift and realised it was from his husband before the father revealed himself by taking off his hat and mask. The happy family rejoiced in the unexpected reunion.
