A housewife put out a frying pan fire, only for it to keep reigniting.

Tanwapa Kongchern had set the cookware on the stove when she was on her phone, causing a blaze to ignite in her kitchen in Pathum Thani, Thailand, on January 17.

CCTV footage shows the woman standing in front of the fire while she blows at it with air from her mouth.

However, instead of extinguishing the fire, it grew bigger. She then placed a damp towel onto the burning pan, which immediately doused it.

Tanwapa Kongchern said: 'I had set the pan on the stove and went to answer the phone, forgetting that I had left the gas on with oil in the pan because I was about to fry some pork.

;After a while, smoke started rising, so I got up to check. At first, I was just going to take a video to show my family how forgetful I am, but then the pan caught fire.

'As the fire reached the hood, I was more scared of the house burning down than the fire itself. Thankfully, I managed to put it out with that cloth. I guess I'll need to get a fire extinguisher for the house now.'
